Burning on Five and Keeping it Alive!

Our animation work has been recognized with a Lantern Award for the fifth year in a row at the 2016 Business Marketing Association (BMA) Lantern Awards!

Saba Studios received the top honor for the animation category for our 3D animation “Rheguard”, produced for MI Swaco. The animation takes the viewer on an abstract journey, highlighting the products’ features and benefits.

“This is not your typical oil and gas animation”, commented Michael Saba, president of Saba Studios. “The subject matter was very challenging on many levels. Drilling fluid is a difficult subject matter to visually explain, and from an animation perspective, fluid is one of the most challenging things to simulate, because of its visually organic nature. We took a lackluster subject matter and turned it into tripy dream-like sequence, starting at the atomic level, all the way to the downhole environment.”
